unfortunately i think that's most men. With both of mine it was hard to drum into my partner that we needed to plan for baby. Men just aren't as organised or good at planning sometimes.

Men often feel a little helpless when their girlfriend tells them they are pregnant as there is nothing they can do but wait and paint the nursery. Your boyfriend will be much more involved when the little one is actually here. Men dont really take a lot of notice until the baby is up and walking and then they want to take their sons down the park to playfootball and their daughters to dance class! Don't take it personally try to encourage him but bless he is a mere man!

It's hard for men because they aren't experiencing the baby growing inside them. By the sounds of your other post you aren't too far along so wait until he can feel and see the baby move. We also know that our lives will be changed forever once the little bundle arrives but it can take men a while to figure that out.

Give him time.

What do you mean by serious? Is it serious about your relationship or to stop joking around?

It helps us if you give us more information so we can help.
