First, why did they take them? You need to take a class or something to address that problem. Anger management, parenting classes, drug rehabilitation programs etc will help you if these issues are the concern. If its domestic violence related then you and your partner can take couples therapy, anger management etc together to help. If your partner is not willing, then you need to leave them and take the classes for yourself. Ask your case worker what you need to do to get them back. Do everything they ask so they know how determined you are and willing to provide a safe place to raise your children.

Julianne's advice was spot on, so all I did was back it up, but I personally do have experience with social services... on the other side of the board though. They keep trying to give me kids.lol I also live in B.C. so I have a pretty good idea of how several outlets in the province work. If your case worker is unsure or unwilling to tell you what needs to be done. Do it all. It is *rare* but there are some difficult case workers who may not want you to succeed and may with hold information that can help you get your kids back. If your worker is uncooperative like that, you do have the right to request a new one. Remember if you have to go to court with social services, you do not want to go up against them without a lawyer.
