My son is 7 weeks old and has a very hard time pooping. His stoo lcomes out as the consistancy of Play-Doh. Is there anything I can do to help him, or soften his stool? The Dr. also says he is colicy and we have been taking him to the chiropractor. He went for his first four adjustments in one week, they seem to help with the crying, but not the pooping.

the consistency of play-doh/clay is normal, as long as it's on the soft-side. Some babies take a bit of extra time to get the process of pooping comfortably down correctly. When he's obviously going rub his back, or even his lower tummy to kind of help the process along.

As for colic, my son seemed headed down that road until I switched him to lactose-free formula.
