I am concerned about my introverted 16-year-old son. He doesn't have any close friends--very intelligent. He can talk to people one-on-one--particularly with talkative people. He is more serious minded and actually is interested in politics and his faith, so he doesn't like being silly with a group. He is very interested in online games and talks with people there. I'd like for him to be involved in our church's youth group, but he is shy to socialize and says most of the kids there are social types or "preps". He is a definite homebody, visits with his other 2 brothers and their friends, and seems content with that. Should I be concerned? Should I try to "socialize" him, or just let him be?
