I'm 34 weeks pregnant with my 4th, i've been experiencing preterm labor (this includes cramping and contractions) for about a month now. I have been to the hospital several times for the pain. each time they give me water and send me home while i'm still contracting and cramping. when finally i asked my OB to send a request for me to get the shot (one of 3) that stop labor. she claims there are to many risk so my clinic and hospital wont allow it. when expressing my concerns my OB says my pain is from my previous c sections and weak cervix. even tho in my past pregnancy i start having preterm labor at 24 weeks and deliver 10 weeks later. all c sections because i do not dilate nor does my water break. NOTE i have delivered with the same OB and hospital for my last 2 pregnancy.

for the past week i have been having the lower back pain this has only happened when i went into labor with my 3rd child. i ended up bleeding because my cervix was so weak and tearing. it is getting so bad that i can't go potty, take a shower, sit at the dinner table to eat. i have the cramping, pressure, low back pain and contractions. this will last any where from 8 hours to 24 hours of consistent server pain. the resident OB at the hospital told me i have an infection she just isn't sure what kind and they can't give me meds for it because i show no other signs to drink water and stay in bed. this was her theory on my contractions. however drinking water, laying in bed both make it worst. when i lay in bed it gets hard to breath when i contract.

well here it is today, i have been having all this again for 12 hours straight i'm crying it hurt so bad. lower back pain, contractions about 2 mins apart started out at 7 mins apart, what feels like leaking, every time i contract its in my back and cervix have a sharp pain, hard to breath, nauseous, feels like i have to poop. the ob said i could come into the office and get checked out on Tuesday (which is my org appt date) and just relax no reason to go to the hospital they wont do anything for me. i'm extremely worried why does this keep happening and why wont they do anything about it. i know its not c section pressure i've had 3 this doesn't feel the same. i know i have a weak cervix but still. and i know i DON"T have an infection or i would have other signs/ symptoms and if i did they would be more concerned. I do have gestation diabeties with this pregnancy but its controled by diet only and has been in good blood sugar range. my family, friend, and BD is has told me they don't want to take me to the hospital any more because we wait 2 - 6 hours to get sent home. so even going is outta the question.

i need suggestions on how to make this stop, since they obviously wont stop it for me. i've done laying with my feet up over my belly, taking Tylenol, a warm bath, eating a snack, drinking water, being on "bed rest", laying in every different position, nothing is helping.

my due date is july 4 with schedule c section. i have never dilated nor has my water broke during or before labor. they said they would just send me home if these 2 things have not happen. including if im not bleeding.

Oh man....it sounds like torture. I agree with Cecilia, you may have a tear in your bag of waters that is slowly leaking, or it has already fully ruptured. I would go get it checked out also. This doctor is ignoring you, and that is really not right. I would be headed to the hospital, and ask for a non stress test at the very least, and a quick swab to see if your water broke. Having to poop, and all the other symptoms sounds like labor.

well if it feels like you are leaking then put a pad on and catch the fluid they can use a tester strip to see if it is amniotic fluid. simple and takes a few seconds. I only had my water break on my 5th child and it wasn't a break-break either. It leaked very slowly and I wasn't sure either.

I expected to read it and go oh just another person not really knowing whats going on. It would be nothing more than pre-labor. It seems that you do. It does sound like labor to me since you can time out contractions. Have you told her that you can time out the contractions?

If it was me, I would seriously try to talk someone into taking me to the hospital. (after I got some of the leaking fluid of course)

You poor thing :(. I also get back labor, it's no joke. Is your doctor even considering the idea of going in a little early?

All these stories on here make me appreciate my ob even more. With my 4th, I wasn't doing too bad so I went in on my due date for a check up. She set up an induction for a week later. My 5th was hard on me so on my due date she set up an induction. Neither were needed but she was ready with a plan, according to how I was feeling.

as of june 14 was back in the hospital. i'm now dilated 1.5 cm but because i don't dilated they finally ruled this out as one of the 3 signs of labor.... yet again with contractions and all the. the RN tells me that will not stop my labor but they will also not speed it up. and that there is no sign of leaking or breakage. this is with out don't an exam except checking my cervix also this time i've been spotting so of course i go in which sign #2. she says its not enough bleed and my contractions are not strong enough...

strong enough???? i'm having back labor which luckily most women don't get are you kidding me...

they are never going to let me how this baby until she is almost dead or i am.
