How do I know if my 14 day old baby is getting sufficient breastmilk?

My baby gets stuck for feeding for long hours and starts crying if she is put away for some time while I take rest. Seems my breasts don't produce enough milk and hence she suffers. How do I know she gets sufficient milk? I haven't slept for many nights and days and this too seems to add to my tiredness.

Sara is 100% right. I did not read the link, but I think at that age they should be producing 10 wet diapers per day. Keep yourself very hydrated, and eat well. Just remember, your body is producing fluids, so you need to supply fluids.

A good sign that your baby is getting sufficient milk is that she is producing 6-8 wet diapers a day, the urine should be light-colored and not smelly and she should be steadily gaining weight. She should be making 3-4 poos each day.
