i have a son who is going to be 2 in august and another son at 6 months. they are both "mommy's boys" and they constantly want my attention. if i have to do something for my oldest son and put my younger son down, he freaks out so badly!. but if its the oppisite, the other starts getting mad and starts crying. i dont even get time to myself because they always "WANT" me. i feel bad that i have my time mostly with my younger baby and not the oldest. i dont know how to have time for both at once when they have different needs and a different age group. one wants to go outside, one needs a nap etc. its so hard on me i need tips or advice. anything to help me get through this crisis

I know of the constant juggling act I have a boy and a girl 11 months apart. I think like most people i'm ripping my hair out i have my good and bad days. Sometimes it's just a matter of making a little bit of quality time with the older one though it's not easy. Even if that's when one is napping. Use a baby monitor so you can still hear bubs and do something fun with the eldest. If you have a reliable partner maybe get them to watch bubs for an hour so you can just take the eldest to the park or play outside for an hour. And most important at the end of the day always give them kisses and cuddles and tell them you love them. They may be young and not be able to say it back but they understand. So that no matter how hectic things are and how busy you are they know how much you love them both. Sounds silly but we just have a mattress in the lounge room we lay down sometimes it's simple but quite often both of my kids enjoy play on it. My son runs and jumps on it my youngest roles around i tickle them blow raspberries on there belly it's just a matter of being a little creative sometimes the simplest things will keep them both occupied and happy. Most people wouldn't agree but sometimes tv is a blessing I occasionally put something educational on just so i can get some house work done or just sit down briefly and catch my breath.
