how do i stop breast feeding?

i have nursed my daughter for 6 months now ,im going back to work and i want to stop breast feeding over all. i know she will cry alot but i need to do this .can anybody please give me tips on how to transition to a bottle of formula

Have you considered expressing your milk and refrigerating it for her, instead of formula? Going back to work need not necessarily be the end of nursing unless that is specifically your intention, which is fine of course if that is what works best for you.

I can't offer much help on how to transition as I was forced into it by an inadequate supply that did not respond to anything that either doctors or lactation consultants tried. My daughter just had to have formula or go without, so she cottoned on pretty quickly. My breasts also dried up almost immediately for the same reason, because they were not far off from being empty in the first place!

You could try feeding her some formula and see how she takes it.
