My son is 1 now and i can't seem to wean him from breastfeeding. He screams and throws a fit if i refuse him. What can i do?

does he take a bottle or will he go straight to a cup? which ever you choose you do the opposite of supplemental feedings. offer table food first. Sit at the table and enjoy meals together and breastfeed after for a few more weeks. He should be full and get most of his nutritional needs met before nursing. This should help him wean himself. Some babies just need extra cuddle time. snuggle and cuddle with him and a good book after meals and frequently during the day. If he asks for the breast offer his cup. If he's really thirsty he will drink. He will begin to understand that he is a big boy now and mommies milk is for babies. Or redirect his attention to a favorite toy or activity. Ignore the screams and fits. be consistent. Teach him now he will not get his way if he acts like that. Give him all your attention as soon as he is quiet again.
