My 21 m old daughter is a very happy child, but doesnt speak much- she says momma, kay(for carrot), no, and couple more words in my native language..thats about it...she is almost getting to be 2 yrs and I am worried about her speech..just wondering any suggestions that could help her pick up few words?? Since she is little, she always liked musical toys- so we provided her with tons of them- now she enjoys watching rhymes on the internet, but doesnt repeat the numbers or words..
she like to dance to the music though..
Some strange incidents- once at toysrus- she saw a ball and wanted it, but we initially didnt notice it why and where she was running to, so we tried to redirect her- thats when we were surprised as she screamed ball and ran for it...we happily bought that ball but she never repeats the word ball"now..when we ask her to get the ball, she does, but never says ball or repeats after us..is it normal for the kids to pick up a word and not say it again at all??
