I've been lurking for awhile & enjoying the posts but I have one question I haven't seen here and I would appreciate your advice. I can't decide whether to have another child (DH is 100% on board). I love my kiddos and always thought I'd have three. I need to decide soon - DSs are 6 and almost 4. And we're both very late 30's.
This is what holds me back: Not how to handle it all when they're young, but how to handle it all when I am back teaching FT, have work to bring home, the dinner needs to be fixed, the kids have an activity and DH is working shiftwork. I am grateful for his job but the hours are not so family friendly. Every other week DH works the second shift going from 2 p.m. until 2 a.m. He works every other weekend, too. Family is an hour away which is nice but basically everything is up to me.
Does anyone have advice? How did you handle it? I guess I am either trying to come to peace with the idea of sticking to two but not having guilt or regret OR going for it and not getting super stressed about it.
