I seem to be dropping the ball lately. I've just come off a spell of illness where I was in bed for a few weeks. We have a home care giver to help out with daily running of the household during those times, but I always have a rough time getting back on track once I get better and the helper goes away. This week was a disaster both at home and at work (I work from home, but I keep it separate).
I keep a calendar on my phone, and every Sunday I sit down with a weekly template I built in Excel and note my commitments, then list the tasks and goals I need/want to accomplish that week and set aside time for everything. I'm running into a small problem where there are not quite enough hours in each day to accomplish everything I need to do. I'm trying to streamline everything, but it just keeps backfiring and falling apart.
So how do you do it? How to you remember everything that needs to be done when you need to do it? Are there certain tasks you know you can overlap to make time for focusing on only one thing?
Do you set aside time each week to "relax"? My therapist says I need to do that, but I can't figure out where to fit it in. Besides, I've been in bed for a month....the last thing I feel like I need to do is sit still.....
