How do you know if your time for normal birth is nearby?

Along with the other symptoms listed...add pooping too much.
You might notice a day or two before labor that your poop gets softer...and you go more often. This is your body evacuating itself..making room for labor.

You lose your mucus plug (bloody show), the baby has dropped, you have contractions (in front, back or both) regularly, and/or your water breaks, etc... i also had huge pressure in the vag. area like a bowling ball was sitting on top of it. i had terrible back labor! wishing you dont have it! good luck!

I'm sure you'll know when it's time. If you think you think the baby might be on it's way go to the hospital to be sure. If you have horrible cramping pain that comes and goes often or get blood or you think you're waters have broken.

i felt just like every other day until the day after my due date i swear i heard a pop. Weird, I thought to myself. Went to pee. Felt like I had to poop. I did and then....bam, labor started and 6 hours later i was holding my son.

I don't go by due dates though. mine are always late. When y ou get close to your 40 wks it seems like as soon as you relax and go.....eh, whenever you want to come baby , then the baby decides it's time. :) how far along are you?

My water didnt break, and i didnt get a bloody show. but I started getting cramps and within a few hours i couldnt handle them anymore. they were very irregular (15 mins to 30 mins) when i got to the hospital they told me my contractions were irregular but off the charts so they kept me and 7 hours later my daughter was born.... moral of the story ,is that for some of us theres no big flashing sign saying "baby is coming" lol they def make it look more obvious in the movies, when the woman out of nowhere looks up and screams "ITS TIME, BABYS COMING!!"

before I realized labor had even started I was extremely cranky. And I didn't want to go anywhere and do anything. Both of those things were completely different from how I'd been acting and feeling the day before. My contractions were all over the place, my water broke and than a couple hours later my contractions started coming every 3-4 minutes. Back labor is horrible, I really hope you don't have to go through it.

TIME PERIOD BETWEEN UR CONTRACTIONS DECREASES.. IT MAY BE HALF AN HOUR INITIALLY.. BUT WHEN BIRTH TIME NEARS, THE GAP BETWEEN CONTRACTIONS IS 1-2 MIN..
ALSO U EXPERIENCE LOADS OF HEAVINESS ON THE LOWER PART OF BODY
