How I can make my 6 year old SISTER stop taking the bottle?

[deleted account] ( 3 moms have responded )

My parents won't listen to me, they say it's okay because milk gives her nutrients but I'm not saying that's wrong I'm just saying she can drink milk at breakfast and as a snack in the afternoon but in a cup. Just like a 6 year old normal kid. Help.

Paula: No need to flag posts if people don't agree with you. This IS a Mother's forum and NOT for children.
In reality, your parents are the ones that decide when to get rid of your sister's bottle NOT you. How about you concentrate on your schooling instead of trying to be a parent.

Why are you on a parenting website?

Although I don't necessarily approve...I've seen some kids as old as 12 or 13 sucking on a bottle at times, just because they could. If your parents had a problem, they'd fix it. They may be using the bottle as the last resort to increase her milk intake, and you could have no idea.

When you are a parent, you can make sure that you wean your kids before they're 6.

How old are you and why are you on a parenting website? Whether or not it is appropriate for a 6 yo to drink from a bottle is not your decision. It is up to your parents.
