How important is a snack tray on stroller?

Having a tray is important to me. Was a lifesaver with my son many, many, many times. He would get fussy and I would put some cheerios and his sippy in the tray and he would forget that he was upset. Great distraction! (For a while the only way to get him to sit in the stroller happily was to bribe him with a snack...)
Sometimes some cheerios would end up on the ground, but when using the stroller we were mostly outside, so the birds had a little snack too.
There is a snack tray on our stroller. We use it alot because it has a cup holder for my son to use, but the cups we have don't fit so I am constanly picking up his cup. I do like being able give my son some snacks on the tray. I have had to use it as a food tray when there was no place for him to eat, but that is extremelly rare. I can see why some would not use it and why it is useful, but there are many time I wished I didn't have one. I think that if you have one you will use it, if you don't you won't miss it.

My daughter had more fun watching the cheerios go flying off the tray, so I stopped using it. Definitely more important to have a place for parents to put their stuff, I loved the cup holder and tray that came on top of my stroller.

i used mine (well my son used it lol) on occasion. i'd put goldfish crackers on it...things like that... then i found a little container with a lid that allows little fingers to get in, but no food to get out :) so we don't use it anymore. i will say that i liked having the option of using it tho.
The only time I have seen my sis use her snack try was when we were out and their were no highchairs available and not many other chairs for older children and adults...So unless you were going somewhere regularly where there is no other choice but to feed your child in the pram I wouldnt recommened it.

A snack tray is not necessary. If you like the stroller, baby can lay back, sit up, and baby is comfortable as well as the mother pushing it. That is all that matters. Do make sure that it is comfortable for yourself too because if you are tall some of the strollers just don't measure up.

A snack tray Tami? what on earth is a snack tray? i have never had one with any of my 3 kids, and dont see why you would ever need to use one. If i am thinking correctly and this is for food whilst your child is in the pram, then i would not worry about having one. Kids eating in prams is a messy buisness anyway..haha. If baby is eating then take a little time out and stop somewere, have a coffee and get a high chair...leave the mess there, not in your lovely new stroller :)

I never had a snack tray on any of the strollers that I had for my daughter and never missed having it - my son's stroller has one and I probably won't ever use it. I think it all depends on whether or not you plan on feeding your child in their stroller. I never did and don't plan on doing it with my son either. Personally, I find the tray to be more of a pain than a convenience - but that's just me! :)

Oops! Hit the button before I asked the rest of the question!
I'm looking at a Planet Baby stroller but it doesn't come with a snack tray or an option for it. How important do you think it is to have one? I really like the stroller b/c of the amount of shade, ease, and how far it lays back, but I don't want to get it and wish I had a tray. Thoughts??
