how many ounces of milk is enough for one month old?

I am expressing breast milk and always wondering if it is enough. I give 2 oz. And my son is hungry in barely 2 hours. If I give 3 oz he is spitting up and gets irritated.

If he finishes the 2oz, but doesn't want the 3oz.... 2 oz is perfect. Going 2 hours between feeds is perfectly normal. SOME breastfed babies will go 3 hours, some breastfed babies will eat 3 times in the SAME hour.

2ish hours seems to be his 'normal' at the moment, so if he starts getting hungry in an hour or less... that would probably be the time to start offering another ounce or two in the bottle and see if he wants it then.

I have no idea why you are pumping instead of latching and it's none of my business, but just be aware that, while it IS possible, exclusively pumping is not always sustainable since babies are much better at getting the milk out of a breast than a pump is. :)
