As long as he is content, and gaining weight he is fine. A simple rule of thumb is 2 to 2.5 ounces per pound of baby every 24 hours. So if he weighs 10 pounds, that would be anywhere from 20 to 25 ounces of formula over 24 hours. He will increase his volume and spread his feeds out naturally, don't force it as that will teach him to ignore the signs that he is full and can lead to overeating.
