Found out for sure at 15 1/2 weeks. Times have changed. Now that doctors are recommending that all moms do the First Trimester Screening, women are getting ultrasounds a lot sooner than in the past. Depending on when you do it, you can find out sooner than the anatomy scan at 20+ weeks. For my other boys, it was 20 weeks or later.

We found out somewherem around 20+ weeks. My doctor didn't believe in letting parents know the sex so you could only found out if you were sent for fetal assessment.

Here you only get one ultrasound period at the hospital between 16-20wks and unless their is a problem you will not get another.

I went to my doctor last month and I was 16 weeks and she told me it's to early to tell, so I have my 20 week ultrasound next week and I am hoping to find out then, I found out at 20 weeks with my son too, I think it's more accurate to wait until then.

I was 21 weeks when I found out, they told me that they will NOT tell anyone any earlier than 20 weeks where I am from. My doctor started looking around my 17 week checkup but she couldn't get a good luck so I waited for my detailed ultrasound and just asked to be told.

With my 1st two I was 16 weeks, this one I was only 13 and they could tell but he's a boy and they are easier to spot. They say 16 to 18 weeks is usually the earliest that you can tell for sure.

I was 20 weeks. They wait that long so they can "make sure" they tell you the right gender. Although I have heard that even then it is wrong. My friend found out her twins sex at 18 weeks, I believe. But I think that was because she was having 3D ultrasounds and lots of monitoring done and they checked and were able to tell. I was lucky I didn't have too wait to long to try and find out the sex, because I found out I was pregnant when I was 8 weeks, but I didn't know how far along I was until I had an ultrasound and they said I was 12 weeks 2 days. Way further then we thought I would be.

From what I have heard, many women usually only have one ultrasound, usually around the 20 week mark, if they know when their last period was (for sure) and they aren't having any problems that doctors need to check for.

i found out at 21 weeks. where i live you can't find out at a regular ultrasound anymore and the 3-d clinic where you can find out doesn't do them before 20 weeks. they say there's a higher chance of mistake before that

I didn't find out until I was 19 weeks. They said they wouldn't do a special ultrasound just to find out the sex. I've always heard you can't say for sure what the sex is until at least 16 weeks...

With both of my children I was 20 weeks. That's just when I had the ultrasound done. I think thats pretty standard unless you have some known complications. I did get an early U/S when I was pregnant with my son at 9 weeks, but he was more or less a heartbeat and resembled a seacreature lol.
