How much breast milk should be incorporated at a feeding with solids?

My son is almost 5 months and I have been incorporating stage one solids and he's been doing well with them. But I don't want him missing out on what he needs from the breast milk by getting to full on his fruit and veggie cups. I also tried stage one turkey and he spit it out right away so any advice on which meat to try next chicken beef ? Or does he even need meat yet?

At that age you don't need to worry about the types of food. I only really fed my daughter , beef and mixed veggies, carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli and cheese in the jars until she started eating table food at a year. I started her at 6 months. Feed first then give a nursing afterwards for a drink. You can still nurse on demand between meals too.

Solids before 1 are just for fun, all the nutritition he needs he should be getting from breastmilk. Solids should be offered only after breastmilk and at this age he should only be getting one or two tablespoons a day.
