I would ask to meet the teacher that your child will have, have a few questions prepared. See if they are interested in teaching the kids not just babysitting. Also ask how much experience your daughters teacher has. Meet with the owner/director and find out how much of the time they are there. The more they are there the better. It shows that they care about the way their establishment is ran. Mostly you'll be able to tell just meting the teacher if she will be a good fit for your daughter. if you have any special concerns that have to do specifically with your daughter ask them how they will address them.

Jessica, that sounds about the same as the places I have seen. How do I decide which preschool is a good one?

I live in GA and it cost between $165 per week to $180 per week for private preschool. I was a pre-k teacher, and I taught 4 years olds. The students who had been in preschool already were definitely more ready to learn and not quiet as clingy to their parents. So I think 3 is the perfect age to start. However, if you or your child isn't quite ready yet, its not going to hurt them to wait another year.
