How much should i charge to babysit a 3yr old boy for 50hrs a week?

I am currently babysitting a 3 1/2 yr old boy who is fully potty trained. Right now i watch him on Friday, Sat, Sun and Mon anywhere from 4:30 am to 8:30 pm. and i only get paid $30 a week. I do that because the mom is a good friend of mine, but sometimes it just doesn't seem to be enough. I hate to ask for more so I haven't. But now she is looking to get a job that will be working 40 hours a week and that will put me watching him at around 50 hours a week. She brings him one meal a day and i provide the drinks and other meals. Sometimes she will bring more meals depending on the day and how long he will be here. She also will include snacks at times. I provide his drinks. What i need to know is how much should I charge her if she gets this other job? I already think $30 for these four days (since they are weekend days) is a little to cheap so i really don't want to give her "sticker shock" on a 50 hour week. We live in a smaller town in Va and the daycare's around here usually run between $125 and $150 for a 40 hour week. I would just like some suggestions on how much i should charge per week once it goes to a 50 hour work week and if I should ask for more now since it is on the weekends which kinda puts a damper on family time. At first when i took the job with this child it was not only on the weekends there were occasional weekends and that was fine but now it is only friday saturday sunday and monday. Please help with any suggestions, or input. thank you

When I first started looking for babysitters I asked my cousin what the going rate is for them to make sure we didn't under pay, I live in a small town as well and you know how word gets around in them. She said for one baby it's about $4-5 an hour is good. That was when my son was 2 months old when we finally did need and get a sitter it was only for 4 hours and my husband thought $20 seemed low and paid $30 and it looks like that's what we will pay for 4 hours once a week

When I was younger and babysat it was for 2 elementary school aged girls at their house and I think I got about $100 a week. This was a long time ago so I'm not sure about that amount.

I defiantly feel like you are getting ripped off here. I'm terrible with confrontation so I'm not really sure how you would go about asking for more. I hope you are able to work something out.

I was paid $10/hour for my last nanny job, so 'I' would charge $400+ for that.

If daycare in your area charge $150 for a 40 hour week.... $150 for a 50 hour week in your home sounds more than reasonable.
