Whenever they are hungry. 'Usually' 3 regular meals and 2-3 snacks.... sometimes more. The last kid I had still nursed a TON at 15 months... so I really never worried about what he did or did not eat or when (but I did offer him food regularly).

Your 15 month old has a very small stomach and should not eat a whole lot at mealtimes. Offer three healthy meals and a snacks between, at least one between breakfast and lunch, two between lunch and dinner and a light snack before bath, books and bed. Don't push them to eat when they say they aren't hungry. Remember his tummy is the size of his fist and a few tablespoons will fill it. Better to eat more often and healthy choices then to insist on a large amount at one time.

We would feed my son three meals a day making sure each was a decent size. But we also made sure to give him a small snack in between each meal. For example 7:00 A.M. Breakfast 9:30 A.M. Snack 12:00 P.M. lunch 2:30 P.M. Snack 5:00 P.M. Dinner 7:00 P.M. Snack 8:00 P.M. Bedtime. Rearrange to fit your baby's schedule but that is the general schedule we followed. Hope that helps!
