How old is too old to shower/bath with your child?

I went to go shower with my 3.5yr old son and my partner looked at me funny and thought he was too old for that. I've never thought of that before...

My son is 3.5 and he still showers with me and with dad. My daughter is 1.5 and she also showers with both of us.

Like the other ladies said, it really all depends on comfort level.

For me, personally, I'm getting to the point with my son where I feel like I'll be stopping soon. He's heading towards school age and can bathe himself, so I don't see why he shouldn't. Occasionally, it won't bother me. Sometimes it's just more convenient. But in general, I figure he'll be completely on his own in the next year or so.

Whenever either of you are uncomfortable... that's when it's too old. For some families this happens before 2... for other families it never happens.

It's whatever your comfort level is and your child's. If you are both fine with it then it's not a problem, if you're uncomfortable with it then stop. My son is 6 1/2 and just started using the shower because he hated water in his face, the first time he got in was with me.
