My daugher started walking at 8 1/2 months when she looked two years old, she hasn't really use a stroller since around 10 months old. She's now 4 years old and I walk alot everyday (even too much for my husband) and before I know it we've been on foot for over 3 to 4 hours! My child is now 46lbs and want's to be carried so I'm actually looking to purchase stroller large enough to accommodate to lay down and rest! So what she looks like she's 6 she's 4, and I know I use to laugh at those BIG KIDS in the stroller but now I understand so to heck with the stares!!! *smile*

My son outgrew all his strollers by three. He looked super silly trying to fit into his umbrella stroller, looked like it was going to collapse under him. My son is big for his age though, and his feet almost drug the ground at that point. Each kid's different, I know some that still fit in them at four or almost five. I'm due with my second, and my son's too big for the sit and stand stollers so I am not even bothering on looking at them either, and they say they can hold a child up to five or six. But his weight is already over forty pounds, and that's where most of those stop too.
If she likes walking, let her go for it, I'd say. Mine is that way too, either walks or gets a shoulder ride from his dad. :)

I think that depends on your child and the activity you are doing. If he/ she is able to walk and you will only be walking a short distance I say let him/her walk. If you are going to be going for a long walk I would put them in a stoller. My 4 year old still on occasions will ride in a stroller but like I said it depends on what you are doing. I guess what I am saying is up until they are between 2-3 three I would put them in a stroller for most outings. ( easier on you sometimes) but I do not think there is any set age.

I think it depends on the child...my son was 4 1/2, but would have stayed in the stroller if I had let him it was just that I was about to deliver his younger sister and did not want to buy a double stroller. On the other hand, my daughter (who is not as laid back) was out of her stroller every chance she got once she learned how to walk.
