My babu girl was 8 months when she said her first word. Was PAPA.She was very fast talking, because we always used and still use normal language with her. With normal language I mean, don't say the words as a baby should say it but just the way they are. It will help you child develop het speech very fast.

My youngest son was 12 weeks old exactly when he clearly said "Hello". See it on YouTube "Alfie says hello"

My 2 year olds first word was dada and she said it when she was 8 months old. She just turned 2 about a week ago and she can say anything and everything. She uses the Your Baby can Read program and she is starting to read now.

My 8 month old can say dada and nana and baba for bottle. She started saying dada when she was 5 months old.

My son said "Momma" at four and a half months, then he said "dadda". At 6 months he began calling his favorite blanket his "nah-knee". Now he has learned to say his name, but he calls himself "Sai-Sai". I love listening to the new words that he has learned to say. I really think that us talking to him like he is a little adult has helped a lot. He also knows words in sign that he learned from daycare and we use at home. He amazes me everyday with what he soaks up! Like a little sponge!:)

My daughter's first words were "Oh God" at the ripe old age of 4 months! I don't think she knew what she was saying but she heard me say it so much that her little mouth just couldn't stop saying it.

I have people to back me up on this including my son's Dr and his Nurse but my 7 month old started saying "Mama" at about 3 months! He usually says it when he is upset or mad...or when he wants me while I am gone somewhere and Daddy is watching him. LOL. He has just in the past month started saying "Dada and Papa."

Paige said mama/dada at 8 months, but I never counted them as real words, since at the time she was always experimenting with sounds. But at 11 months she said Elmo :)

My son's first word was "mama." He said that around 7 months. When he was 10 months he said " I did it." He is now 11 months and can say "bad" "daddy" "mama" and "I did it."

My 8 month old has been saying "momma" for awhile now. Whenever he wants me to hold him or comfort him he says it. But..he hasn't said it as a response to a question or anything, so I don't really know if it counts

My little girl was about 8 months old when she said her first word and it was "mommy". It was the cutest thing and when she said it I cried so hard.

Liam was 13m when he first said Tongue. For 2wks he said it over and over. Then Nothing out side of ap until he was 30m and he said Mama for the first time, then daddy, and baby. Liam is nearly 5 now and talks like every other child his age. It varies greatly when and how much our little ones talk.

Colin was 12m when he said mama, and daddy. He has not stopped talking since.
