How's your thyroid?

For the past year or so I have been soooooooo tired, I've been trying so hard to lose weight by eating healthy and trying to exercise (but I haven't been able to work out like normal or I've started feeling like I'm blacking out, have heart palpatations, etc. throughout the day after I workout) my hair's been falling out, dry skin, dry hair, I work best at 10-12 hours sleep and if I only get 8 by the evening I can hardly move and I'm an emotional wreck. I finally found out I have an under-active thyroid (mine is from hashimoto's thyroiditis) and have been taking thyroid medicine for 2 months now, but I still don't do well with less then 10 hours sleep and even then I'm still really tired a lot. Any of you mom's out there dealing with this too? What have you found to help you make it with all your responsibilities as a mom?

I also have Hashimoto's! If you are still having symptoms, have to tried going gluten free? Are you on synthetic replacement (synthroid, levothyroxine, etc) or are you on a NDT (Armour Thyroid or similar). Have you been checked for Adrenal fatigue? Ferritin (iron) levels?
I switched to Armour about 6 weeks ago and can tell a WORLD of difference. My ferritin levels are good, and my adrenals are being checked in a couple of weeks.

i was diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism after baby....and vitamin d level was 7, supposed to be 30!!! i have gained more weight since i had the baby, now 3, than when i did while pregnant....loosing hair and tired, i require a nap every day which i hate, but she is worth it!! my thyroid tests ok but i think my "baseline" is not the normal...check with your doc about vitamin d....its a blood test and takes a week for results, but check the symptoms and you may be surprised!!!!!

Mine is good! But thanks for asking! LOL I had mine checked also when I was like you, always tired, and all the classic signs. Mine is working. My doctor told me to rest easy some people just require more sleep. I do!! I accept that, I am in bed most nights by 9pm & my husband gets up every day with our son, so I can catch up on sleep.
