I had an ectopic pregnancy in May 2009 and the doctor ended the pregnancy with the methotrexate shot. I bled the week before and for a week and a half after I lost the baby. I stopped bleeding on June 6th. My cycles were always right on time, 28 - 30 days. I took a pregnancy test last week, but it was negative.

If you have had an ectopic, please share your experience. Thanks!

I had an ectopic pregnancy and my tube ruptured. They repaired the tube during surgery, but then I was not able to get pregnant when I tried again.

After many years of trying, I had surgery to remove the damaged tube and the left ovary. This forced my body to ovulated on the right side side. I then was able to get pregnant.

Just remember not to give up hope if you are trying.

Hi, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm a grandmother, but did have an ectopic pregnancy when I was young. Thankfully, it passed & I didn't need surgery. It's very much like after a birth, about 4-6 weeks. If by then you don't get your period, I'd call your Dr. You need time to mourn. It feels like the death of a child. God Bless

My doc told me as a rule to wait for two periods after any miscarriage. It took 7 weeks until I got my first period after my miscarriage, and then had another period and then ended up getting pregnant before my third, right on schedule. So it was about 13 weeks after that I got pregnant again. Doc said give your body at least 8 weeks, and your heart a little time to heal as well. Good Luck x

I'm sorry for your loss. I had an ectopic pregnancy and had to have surgery April 22, I was always the same way every 28 days but it took 6 weeks before I started. My doctor told me it could be up to 8 weeks though.

For about a year my periods were irregular, but the first one was about a few days after the end of my ectopic pregnancy. I had mine when I was 30, and was able to have an baby when I was 33. this pregnancy resulted in a wonderfull little boy that is 10 years younger than his beautiful sister.
Best wishes!

I had 2 positive home pregnancy tests. I had lots of pregnancy symptoms too. It's basically a waiting game for me. I had a tubal reversal done in January, so I knew that this was a risk. My doctor knows that I am at a higher risk of this happening. If you've never had an ectopic then I wouldn't worry about it to seriously, unless you are having alot of pain.
