This has happened multiple times now. When I take my little one for bath she point towards her tits and asks What are these. I'm not sure what to tell her so she gets a satisfactory good enough answer.

I tried telling her its your chest but she doesn't buy it I guess.

Tried telling its a body part and everyboy has it.

Not sure what would be an appropriate answer.

Sorry if this has been asked before on the forum.

Appreciate any help!

I knew I shouldn't have opened this post.... now I've got the creeps again. At least I know a new name to watch out for here.

First of all thanks so much for such prompt and accurate responses.

And then am sorry for calling them tits for a 4 year old.

I think I know exactly what I should tell Nona my daughter - they are breasts!

Thanks all. I'm loving the forum already.

they are nipples and they are used for feeding babies when you become a mom.

a four year old doesn't have tits, she has nipples. come on now.

Why not tell her what they are? My Daughter knows I have "Boobies" (that's what she calls my bra as well) and that she has boobies as well. My daughter is only 2.5 but know the difference between her and her brothers.

First of all, a four year old does not have "tits". They have nipples, and you can tell her exactly that.

Tell her they're breasts. These are breasts and women have them.

I know not everybody likes talking about this stuff but it's just a body part, it's not the end of the world for your child to know what they are, actually it's as weird as if you refused to tell a child what the name of their fingers are. It'd be like, mommy what are these called? 'well hun it's a body part attached to your hands that everyone has'...

My son knows that I have a vagina, he has a penis, and these are breasts. No we don't talk about it to much and I've tried explaining not everyone wants to hear that if he talks about it. I mean he asked my sister 'Do you have a VAGINA' lol but that's what little kids do.

Of course don't tell her they're tits or boobies just tell her these are breasts, girls and women have them. If you don't answer her she's probably going to ask another person or friend of hers.
