I know I'm only a kid but I really want other moms advice! I'm sorry I'm on here and not a mom!
I'm 13 years old and as far as my mom knows, I'm still wearing unpadded training bras. Here's the story: when I was 11 I got my first training bras and those were fine until I turned 12 when the band was too small and my nipples showed through. What I did was use the fact that my size only came in padded (not a cup but a lightly padded liner- not to add volume but for nipples hiding) to my advantage. I showed her the new size and she said "oh you don't need padded yet" and I lied to her and said "I know but they are removable, my size only comes in padded" but I had full intention of keeping the pads in without telling her.
Well for about half a year now, the padded training bras are too small in the band and in the cup. I can't do any activities without them bouncing around and hurting. also the cups didn't cover my breasts so if I accidentally hit them, it would hurt cuz there isn't padding all over. So I recently got a target gift card from my orthodontist for referring friends. I used the gift card to order myself a cup bra (I measured my self, coming out as a 28b or a 30a) and I didn't tell my mom, I just started wearing it (I also ordered her a bday gift so that's all she thought I got).
I feel really bad for lying to her on multiple occasions and I really just want that special time where we go shopping for my first "real" bras together! And I need another pair or two.
I thought maybe because you girls yourself are mom's, you might be able to help. Sorry if this is long!
