Hi everyone

My 2 and a half months old daughter has recently started to wake every 45 minutes approx. from her day sleep, have a little snack, play for about 30 minutes and then get tired. She also wants to be fed to sleep. She doesn't feed much when she wakes up and when she is ready to go to bed expects another feed so she can fall asleep at the breast before being put in her hammock to sleep. This has been going on for about a week now. She was also starting to sleep longer stretches at night (up to 8 hours once) and that is all gone too.
A bit of background on the situation too. I have a 3 and a half year son as well who goes to daycare between 9am and 1pm. Until 2 weeks ago that arrangement worked fine. Then my daughter started waking up everytime I was transferring her from her hammock to the car seat and vice versa. I changed the times my son was going to daycare hoping that will allow my daughter to sleep longer. Unfortunately she seems to be stuck in that habit of sleeping 45 minutes and waking up for a snack. I am not sure how to break that. Please help!

It sounds pretty normal to be honest. They go through different sleep cycles as they grow. The only thing I can think of to adjust it some is to try to keep her busy and awake for longer periods. This will help her sleep longer in between, sometimes.

As far as her not falling asleep while eating, I can't be much help because I always allowed it. Never tried to stop it and they stopped it on their own.

Yea it's easy to forget about it because it was easier when it was just him. Feel grateful. My last child did 10 minutes of sleep over and over and over all day long at that age. Drove me BONKERS! Now she is 13 months and will take a 3 hour nap.

Thank you Cecilia. I'm sure my son would have gone through that as well. I just forgot everything in 3 years!
