My 16 month old daughter refuse to clean her toung .It is really difficult to clean her toung ,i feel; may be her toung is not clean that's why she refuse food . Anyone else gone through/going through this? Anymore suggestions? I know this is common with toddlers, but I don't want this to turn into a lifelong problem

I don't think that is the reason she is refusing food. Often kids have a bad gag reflex, and that may be why she does not want to clean her tongue. Brushing her teeth should suffice just fine. To be honest, I have never cleaned my kids tongues. I am certain this is not the reason she is eating well. It is common among toddlers. Not a dirty tongue.

Offer her a variety of healthy foods. Have her help you pick out fruits and veggies at the store, and have her help you make the food. Even her putting the cut up food into a bowl, or the pan can make a huge difference. Even have her clean some veggies you are gonna put into your meals. Have her taste foods as they are cooking (of course never any raw meat). My kids love cut up veggies with ranch dip. Or steamed veggies with ranch.
