Go make friends...find something you always wanted to do but never did. Get a part time job doing something you love. Don't let yourself feel lost, do something to make yourself happy don't let your happieness be dependent on someone else.

The same way everyone else does. My husband was gone for over a year in Iraq when our son was 14 months till right before 3. I got pregnant when he was home on R and R and we had our daughter 6 days later he was gone again for 10 months. You just do what you always do. Have a schedule, don't sit by the phone or computer and wait. Get out with the kids and make a life for ya'll he will find his place when he is home.
