i love my in laws but there are somethings they do that bother me,ive asked them many times to not do something only to have them do it anyways or like today they had a bbq for mothers day,i wasnt able to go but they wanted to bring my daughter so of course i wanted her to spend time with them.they give her sweets and thats fine in small portions after all thats what grandparents do but today when she came back she had an overly full poopie diaper and when my bf changed her, her diaper rash(shes had diarrhea for a couple days and has a little bit of diaper rash) was so bad that ive never seen her have a rash that bad,i dont think they even changed her.i told them before they left that she does have a rash and i put the butt cream in her bag.and her bottle was full of pop!!..its soo frustrating!what can i say to get through to them

i really dont want to have to tell them that they she cant go over there without me or her dad but your right about telling them. im an overprotective mom but i seriously considered taking her to the doc because she has sores all over her bottom...she is getting better now but all day yesterday every time she went in her diaper i had to give her a bath because using wipes was out of the question because it was so bad,the other grand kids are all 3 and up and are potty trained and she is getting over looked in that department, and about the pop in the bottle..it boggles my mind why they would do that, thank you for your input and letting me rant and rave haha

If your child is not old enough to communicate that she needs a diaper change and her needs are being overlooked, then I would not send her to visit without supervision. Why anyone would put soda in a bottle is beyond me. Tell them the truth, take a photo of her rash, and show them what she looks like. Warn them that if they do not want to follow your rules, then they can come visit her at your home. That is shameful.
