How to deal with my 2 yr old strong willed daughter, she's draining the life from me.....

She is my 3rd child and a whole new ball game for me. She's the light of my life but I can't keep up with this pace. She goes non stop from morning til night. She's sweet and extremely smart. But she does what she wants to do, I've tried everything. I'm at the end of my rope. I stay so exhausted til i feel I'm not giving 100% towards correcting her or the rest of my family. I just cry.

Sounds like she's full of spirit! I have one of those. They are wonderfully exhausting. I found a book that helped me understand where she is coming from and some ideas on how to help. It's "Raising the Spirited Child". My friend told me about it and it has made a huge difference. You find out where your child's personality lies in relation to your own and then go from there.

Things here aren't perfect, but understanding helped me to know I'm not alone and there are some ideas to help.

Hang in there! Best of luck!

Pick your battles. Sometimes some things are just not worth the fight.

Instead of telling her all things she can't do give her the choice of things that she can do.

Set clear boundaries and consequences of stepping over those boundaries and follow through.

Keep consistant and in control.

Take time out for yourself, everyone needs a break from their kids every now and then.
