How to display a community baby gift basket?

At our church, it is apparently a "policy" to have a shower only for first-time moms. (There was a 2nd-time mom who was accidentally overlooked for a shower, so this was the way to prevent that from happening again.) So, now our minister's wife is expecting a second child in early November, and I approached her about having a shower, not knowing about the "policy". She said she would prefer not to have a shower because she wanted to be held to the same policy as everyone else. So, with her permission, I'm going to set up a basket in the foyer of our church for those who might like to give her baby gifts since she is going to have a boy this time and has no gear for boys. My question is more about a cute way to display this. Because this is the minister's baby, it is likely that they will be given quite a few gifts. So, the basket needs to be somewhat large. I was thinking of maybe getting a refrigerator box and cutting it out to look like a car or a fire engine and painting it. The gifts could go inside. Another idea might be to use a Pack-N-Play and decorate it in her nursery theme, which I think is monkeys/jungle. Does anyone have any other ideas or has anyone done this before? I'd appreciate some input. Thanks!
