Find an Herbalist to help you.
Make sure you watch out for signs of Mastitis on your quest for relief. I have heard of grandmothers still producing some. So be careful that you don't go against your natural body too hard. .
I stopped drinking water all together for a couple of days. tea or coffee or cola drinks will help dehydrate you as well. express a little bit of milk when you used to feed, then cut it down or if you don't like expressing offer a very short feed to relieve any build up. Massage any lumps immediately, I wore breastpads just in case I leaked.
If you feel the blues remember you'll be fine in a week. I got an overwhelming sensation to procreate when I stopped breastfeeding both times. So becareful - unless you want another : )

I just left mine alone, I was fine. If the pain persists, I'd call your Dr.'s office. The on call Dr should be able to help you, or maybe the nurse on call. I remember my dr. telling me to take tylenol, and wear a bra, the cabbage thing works too, Ice packs can help too, but wrap them, never put the ice on your bare skin.
believe it or not, cold cabbage leaves placed in your bra works well. it worked for me for two kids. might take a while though to dry up the milk but it does work. just replace the leaves in your bra when they wilt, lol. have them in there all the time. hope it helps.
