how to get my 3 year old to go to bed without his cup?

Okay so my 3 year old is potty training. He's really good about it, he's doing really well. He never has accidents ever, except at night. He shares a room with his brother, 19 months. he goes to bed before the 3 year old because they will just stay up and cause trouble all night if they go to bed at the same time. My 3 year old pees the bed everynight, and I know this is normal but I think if he could go to bed without his cup then it would turn out better. He will scream and not go to his room if he doesnt have a cup. If I bring him in to his room without it, he wil just sit there screaming and throwing himself around. I've started just filling his cup about 1/4 of the way because he doesn't understand I'm tricking him lol. but I still want to make it so he isn't dependent on his cup at night. I don't know what to do, if i say "Do you want to go to bed?" He will be like "Bed yay! cuupppppppp! cuppy cup cup!" and if i say no, he screams and cries. how do I get him to go to bed without a cup and without him screaming and waking his brother?

Give him the cup (water only) and leave him in a pull up or diaper overnight. 3 is still young to expect him to stay dry through the night. Do some kids? Absolutely... I had one (and he guzzled water in bed at bedtime), but it is very, very common for many kids to wet the bed til 5+ years old.
