My husband is always saying he's they only income in the house and it really makes me feel bad about not working. I have a background in healthcare. I want to work. But he insists I shouldnt work. I should be available for our children. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks Doris! Great advice. I will try to find what I have a niche for. I have 4 children 3 girls(14,12,&8) and one son (7) I have been married for 14 yrs. I've rarely worked in our marriage but have gone to school for Medical Assistant & Certified Nursing Assistant. I have a passion for heping others.

He sounds lonely and is using that to pretty much make you feel bad and get some of your attention. Perhaps you can make some money at home, making things, it doesn't have to be a lot, cuz I really don't think that's his problem; maybe keep it a secret and surprise him with a night out. I know, getting someone to watch your child and do a better job then you or one you can trust is REALLY HARD, but this is a project for you, don't expect it to fall into place quickly, it requires a well thought out plan. Blessings.
