Breast feeding is going well but haven't healed from the initial rawness from learning.

You can feed less on that side but I wouldn't stop completely because you would get engorged and it hurts.

I wouldn't stop the feeding from that side...if she is only a week old then you are still establishing your supply. It can also be painful to hold off. I went through the same thing and when my daughter would latch on I would grimace because the pain of that initial latching was so awful.
Really I just waited it out. It took a little time but it did heal.
I hope you feel better soon!

Another thing is air-out time, it even helps and after a shower air-dry then too. But seriously that Lanisoh cream was amazing!

I had that problem too, and used Lansinoh. It is a nipple cream for nursing mothers. I would nurse for a good long time, then take a shower, apply the cream, use the disposable nursing pads and it cleared up the problem very quickly.
They have it at babiesrus and it's natural lanolin so it's safe for baby. I used that for both of my kids. They also have a product called Soothies gel pads. It has a cooling effect if you need that.
Hope this helps :)

Pure coconut oil always worked for me. It's natural and will not hurt the baby. Keep up the good work. It gets much easier with time. Congratulations on your little one.
