I dont think anything actually WORKS! I think its just a coincidence. My babies were all premmie and I went into labout STRAIGHT after sex but Im still not too convinced that was the cause. My sister did the tea and every other wives tale but still went overdue :)

Go for a pedicure. The massaging of the bottom of your feet starts labor- its reflexology you'll start to feel cramps in no time! It works.

I have been told that foot and ankle massage works due to certain nerve endings in those body parts. That sometimes stimulates the uterus to contract. Also, sex seems to work. I've had 5 children, and I went into labor within 4 hours of sex when I was pregnant with every single one of them. Good luck, and REMEMBER labor and delivery is no where near as scary or painful as people will have you believe. With my first I had major complications and it still wasn't as bad as I had imagined!

Lot's of old wives tales out there. I was 2 weeks overdue and tried just about everything. Let the baby come out on it's own or by the doctors choice or you may do more harm than good...

All I have to say is do not try the castor oil method. I did and was sick all night and to this day just thinking about it makes me want to run to the bathroom. It was probably the worst feeling, beside giving birth, I have ever experience. Orgasams are a good way to do it. I know a few people it worked for

Walking, nipple stimulation, red raspberry leaf tea, sex. If you're more serious, black cohosh, evening primrose oil (placed on the cervix), and some say castor oil (never done it and it's supposed to be horrible). But make sure you are at least at your due date! Chiropractors can help minimize soreness and can also help to start/speed labor. With my second, I was seeing one three times a week at the end (starting at 32 weeks) and I saw him on Monday night, Tuesday morning, and went into "prelabor" early Wed., serious labor late Wed., and had the baby Thurs. morning.

You should naturally let your body do it's thing. Your baby is not going to come until it's ready :) Walking is good :)

There is no proven method, but many women say sex will do it. Walking a lot can help, or doing something that involves weight bearing exercise...like bowling!
