I just found out that my daughter has been sneaking out at night and meeting a boy until 4 in the morning! She'd wait until we'd be asleep then leave!! Then after taking her phone away and reading her messages I found out that she said she spent the night at a friends house when she really went to a party and spent the night at a guys house!! Ok, so we took her phone and electronics away and took her truck away so she has to take the bus to school but we feel that she will continue to do this cuz she didn't seem sorry at all and said she thinks are rules are stupid! We are so mad and frustrated with her we don't know how to keep her in the house.....We thought of an alarm system but they are to expensive. Any ideas besides waking up on the hour to check on her??

We did take her phone away and we are looking into changing her phone to only use as a phone,no texting no data, phone calls only. We are just shocked over all this and we are trying to get into a therapist but can't seem to get one for today. So we are putting locks on the doors and windows and no devices for her! Wish us luck! Thanks for all the support!

I would be searching to make sure she is not sexting. Why does she NEED a phone at all? She has lost that privilege and needs to earn it back.....over a long period of time. If she NEEDS a phone, you can get one of those that can only call you, and receive calls from you. It is a flip phone I believe.

I'm thinking about deleting her apps on her phone or maybe giving her a flip phone so she can't be on any of her favorite apps to punish her.....to harsh???

great idea, I'll look into that! I just ordered an alarm system but it only has key pads on the doors so the locks for the windows sounds perfect! Thanks
(I didn't ask her, I was so mad I just figured she was sneaking out from her window but she probably would go out the back door too) It's crazy to think you need to make your house like jail to keep your kids safe:(

I would also be calling the boys parents and letting them know what is going on.

How is she getting out?
What about key locks on all doors and windows and you keep the keys near you at night?
