How to maintain parenting with broken leg?? Need Suggestions!!

Hi All...On October 1st in an accident in which I broke my right leg, tib-fib compound fracture, surgery with rod and screws then at follow up was readmitted for muscle flap surgery (I know sounds disgusting) had calf moved around to cover hole where bone split skin and small skin graft...Anyhow my question is..How do I maintain parenting while living with my parents and they're ways of parenting, I can't go upstairs to put my daughter to bed, bath her, dress her, or cook..Thankfully I have a break from cleaning! Trying to figure out what or how to still parent though there is not much I can do...Also I feel like my daughter, she is 8 is mad at me because her life has been turned upside down..Really hard to relinquish control and allow my parents to parent, not be able to choose clothing or walk to bus stop, even cook dinner...Not sure what to do?? Any ideas or suggestions I'd great appreciate! Sure I'm not the first Mom or last Mom with a broken leg...

Hello- I just broke my ankle last Sunday, surgery with three screws (no muscle flap work thank God). I hope you are wrapping things up and we'll into PT at this point. Did you find any ways to be helpful? I can only imagine my husband will be so overwhelmed by the end of this. Will be at least Mid April before this thing comes off.
