I've just moved down to Tennessee to be with my boyfriend last august and in November we had our first baby! The stressful part is that I have no support down here except for hi
And his family. Which with some issues is not comfortable. Everyone needs their own support system and I just don't know how to meet other young moms (I'm 24), it's hard for me to just strike up conversations with just anyone, can anyone help, it have suggestions???

Volunteer ... start a new moms play group ..... ask at the library and community center if such groups are already up and running .... if you belong to a faith based establishment, find a group there ....

I found in the oddest Tennessee...where I could actually CONNECT with other moms. It was the HEALTH DEPARTMENT! I found myself near other moms my age..with kids my age...and we ended up talking about breastfeeding..and cosleeping of all things! LOL! We traded cellphone numbers and I ended up making new friends...more than once!
Can I ask are you in a decent sized town? Or are you stuck in downtown Ducktown like I was? Copperhill Health Department was the only place I found other moms like me.
Can you find a mom support group in town? Ask the nurse at the Health department maybe?
If there's not...maybe it will be up to you. How brave are you? Could you make up a few signs for a new Mom group and then stick them up at the grocery store...Walmart...and yes, the health department. If there's not a Mommie group yet...It could be up to you to make it happen. Tennessee can be SO rural...I know it's got to be hard. The way I fixed my problem was I moved away from Ducktown..and found a city with real asphalt on the streets.
