Patience and consistency. CONSISTENCY IS KEY. No kid is going to pay attention to you if you set a consequence and don't enforce it, or only enforce it part of the time.

Praise him for the good deeds and show your appreciation for his curiosity to explore everything around him.
Always make sure that you sat down with your child and explained why you get upset when he does ".."
I always tell my daughter: "Mom is not going to speak to you anymore until you stop "..."
It works most of the time..
He wants you to obey him as well, he thinks the same way you do. So get closer to him as much as you can.

Holly A- I have tried taking toys away and time outs. I think my main problem is that I have not been very consistent! So I am hoping that if I become more strict in my discipline and not such a softy then it will work!
