My daughter is 6 yrs old and I have been reading some articles on sassy talk and talking back. I just really feel like a child should be able to explain things but the proper way and I also dont really know how to properly respond without getting frustrated and teaching my child another bad habit towards her rudeness and frustration. If any of you moms out there have dealt with this and have any recommendations please respond....

I actually just started the good behavior chart and it seems to be working. She also used to have a real bad habit of not listening the first time and I have recently started calling her over and looking at her to make sure she is paying attention before asking her to do something. It seems to be working pretty good:)

I have a 6 year old that does the same thing. I either ignore her or give her a time out. I've resigned to the fact that it's her age. I also do a rewards chart with her. Sometimes she's extra bad when she doesn't get enough sleep.
