Is a 4 month old supposed to be a ble to go to sleep on her own. Im so lost. My routine is usually bath , then breastfeed, but thebaby always falls asleep in my arms. If I put her in her bed too soon, she wakes up and cries where I pick her nack up and she stops and tries to fall aasleep again. That can go on for three or more cycles until she's finally tricked into sleeping by herself. Is this a bad routine? Does any else have this issue? Please help . Should I just lay her down and let her cry until she falls asleep. Will she eventually stop crying and fall asleep or will she go on for hours?

There is no one proper way to put a baby to sleep. You are doing a good job momma. It is whatever works for momma and baby.

You are asking about CIO (crying it out) which is not healthy for proper brain development. Babies love to be held. Especially when sleeping. Both of my kids I would BF until they were completely asleep, then lay them down. Yes, it would take a few rounds of this sometimes. Please don't let your baby CIO. It is really bad for them. They cannot self sooth like others will say or recommend. WE sooth them. WE take care of them. They need to know we are there for them when they are scared, upset, and lonely.
