TURN IT OFF. Once the bond is broken, get the kid out of the room, and turn on parental controls to shut them down at specified times.

Then, set usage terms for your kid, and enforce them.

Foster an interest in other things. Ask your child to help you make supper. Plan an outing to the park or the pool. Sign your child up for an activity. Play board games as a family. Reader together. Sometimes if you read the first part of a book to a kid and they enjoy it they will finish the book on their own to find out what happens.

You can also put limits on screen time. Many families find that this helps, but your ultimate goal should be a child who doesn't need policing and who actually wants to do other things.
