Ha good point point Elfrieda! I think you may be right and I may have been reading the question wrong.

How to take it away or how to get the baby to take it? If it's how to get the baby to take it, you just keep trying, but understand that some babies just won't want it. My son hated it until he was about 3 months old, and then he loved it until he was 4 months old. It was a beautiful month. ;)

I think it depends on the child and there age, my nephews all was around 2 years "past" there's to the newest Babies in the family obviously the new babies never had them really, I lost my oldest daughters aged 1 and a half and took the opportunity she cried for it a few nights but soon forgot about it, both my youngest daughters only had theres for sleeping and luckily grew out of them on there own at 3 months and 8ish months. I'v heard of older children giving them to dummy fairies or Santa, when I was a child I was two and very attached to my dummy my mam left it to go all bitty and gross when I put it in my mouth and made me gag a bit my mam said "quick put it in the bin, dirty dummy" when I asked for it she said "it's in the bin you threw it away" I only asked a couple of times and soon forgot about it, either way if you put them in the bin you can't give in and give them back if your little one cries for it

I would just take it away--throw them out in the garbage if you have to. It depends on how often your child is using it so it may be difficult to get over for a few days, but seriously, just tossing them will help with the situation.
