my daughter will turn two next weekend and has no interest in giving up breastfeeding. She only wants to this when she is tired or needs comforting. I have tried telling her that she is a big girl or that my night nights are yucky...tried using lemon juice and band aids that cover me. Me. Any ideas on what else to do? She will not use a pacifier and has never taken a bottle.

Is there a reason she has to wean? I'm just asking because it provides her comfort, not harm, and self-weaning will happen in the next year or so anyway typically.

The reason I am trying to wean her now is because it is more of an inconvenience to have to nurse her to sleep instead if get being able to soothe herself to sleep. She still Co sleeps with my husband and I and wakes up several times throughout the night to nurse.
