By three weeks your milk is already "in." What is indicating to you that it's not sufficient? Milk is produced by supply and demand, so the more you nurse, the more your body will make. Nurse your baby as often as possible in order to cue your body to make the milk. Don't supplement with formula because this does not give your breasts that signal to make more milk. A big mistake a lot of moms make is looking at the amount of milk they're pumping. Not sure if this happened with you, but if so, please know the amount you pump has NOTHING to do with how much your baby is getting.

If you're nursing on demand and your baby has enough wet/dirty diapers, you're doing just fine. I know it's hard, but try to relax and take your cues from your baby. Babies have thrived on breastmilk for hundreds of thousands of years before formula was ever invented. Your body knows what do to! You just have to trust it.

Is there a La Leche League in your area? They can provide free breastfeeding help. This is an excellent resource--would be worth it to check out.
